Every year, the Philippines ranks high on lists of countries in need of international aid, whether it’s the United Nations’ Human Development Index or the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Index. This makes it all the more important to highlight organizations such as Feeding Children Everywhere that help citizens here, with funding and donations from outside of the country. Here are seven international organizations that help people in developing countries like ours.
1) Charity Water
Charity Water is a non-profit organization that helps bring clean and safe drinking water to people in developing countries. They work with local partners to build and maintain water projects, and they also educate communities about hygiene and sanitation. Since 2006, Charity Water has helped more than 10 million people get access to clean water.
2) Rotary Foundation
The Rotary Foundation is a nonprofit, international service organization that was founded in 1917. The Foundation provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. In order to achieve these goals, the Foundation provides financial and volunteer support to a variety of projects. For example, the Foundation has helped to provide clean water and sanitation facilities, vaccinated millions of children, and built homes for families who were affected by natural disasters.
3) AmeriCares
AmeriCares is a global nonprofit organization that provides disaster relief and health care to people in need around the world. They respond to an average of 25 natural disasters each year, and have provided assistance to countries like the Philippines after typhoons and earthquakes. AmeriCares also works to increase access to health care by providing medicines and medical supplies to partners in more than 90 countries.
4) UNICEF
UNICEF is one of the most well-known international organizations, and for good reason. They provide life-saving assistance to children and families in developing countries all over the world, including the Philippines. In 2018 alone, UNICEF provided 3.1 million children in the Philippines with access to clean water and sanitation facilities. They also work to prevent violence against children and offer educational opportunities to children who wouldn't otherwise have them.
5) USAID
The United States Agency for International Development is an independent agency of the US federal government that is primarily responsible for administering civilian foreign aid. Since its founding in 1961, USAID has worked to end extreme poverty and promote resilient, democratic societies around the world.
6) Oxfam
Oxfam is an international organization that helps people in developing countries like the Philippines. They provide access to clean water, education, and health care. They also work to end poverty and hunger. Oxfam is a great organization to support if you're looking to help people in need. One of their recent initiatives is called Water for All. With this program, they have installed wells and other sustainable sources of clean water to serve as many people as possible. They are partnering with others like Columbia University in order to keep up with demands.

In addition to their work on the ground, Save the Children also advocates for changes in policies and practices that will help improve the lives of children everywhere.
